We recently purchased a condo that has very little counter space. I wanted something to place over the cooktop, to increase useable space near the coffee station. We only use the apartment on occasional weekends, and almost always eat-out, so don't use the cooktop. I considered wood boards, glass "covers" and other options. However, each had pitfalls. The counters are quartz, and I wanted something durable and unobtrusive. Black granite is the perfect solution! I chose to have the "board" extend over the edges of the cooktop, however, one could easily opt to have it cut to fit inside the frame. The black surface blends with the color of the glass cooktop and from a distance is totally un-noticeable. The shop owner is very good to work with!! The granite was packed exceptionally well and shipped very quickly. AAA+
